Start Your Umpiring Journey with Casey Netball.

At Casey Netball Association, our dedicated umpire coaches are here to support and guide you every step of the way as you begin your journey in umpiring.

​

Through hands-on experience across a variety of age groups and competition levels, you'll develop essential umpiring techniques and gain a strong understanding of netball rules—all while building confidence on the court.

We offer comprehensive training, mentorship, and support for those working towards their C and B grade badges, helping you progress at your own pace.

​

For those looking to take their umpiring further there are exciting opportunities to travel and officiate at Association tournaments with our Casey Netball Squad.

Join us and become part of a passionate community committed to excellence in umpiring.

As part of our advanced development opportunities, you may also have the chance to umpire practice matches for our VNL team, the Casey Demons—a fantastic way to gain high-level experience and exposure.

How to become an umpire:

​

1. Register as a Netball Victoria member

2. Purchase a copy/download and read through the 2024 offical rules of netball.

​

​

3. Enrol and complete the rules of netball theory exam.

​

 

​

​

4. Enrol and complete the foundation umpire course.

​

​

5. Complete the Umpiring Expression of Interest form.
